To assist the local HSSE and Project Management teams in consistently transferring safe work practices from paper to the field, Arteak provides site surveillance overlay services, focusing on high-risk activities (e.g. working at height, confined space entry, lifting & hoisting, hot works, energy isolation, heavy equipment and vehicles operations, scaffolding, excavations, underwater construction and maintenance, system testing).

We identify and report unsafe acts and conditions, assist in the intervention and implementation of control measures and promote implementation of HSSE Leadership Visit programs, with the aim of enhancing commitment to safety and visibility on the field of the projects’ management and HSSE personnel and of ensuring follow up on items pending for action.

Our approach is intended to support the growth of competences and safety awareness of the project workforce through on-the-field coaching and mentoring, reviewing safe practices and sharing lessons learnt to prevent recurrence, promote implementation of behavioral based safety and field level risk assessments programs.

Whenever client or contractor personnel is appointed to internally manage the organization of the emergency rescue services, Arteak provides specialized services to define potential scenarios and outline effective rescue plans to effectively manage emergency at height, inside complex confined space or in hazardous atmospheric conditions.

We provide training for the site Emergency Rescue Team (ERT) on advanced rescue equipment and trauma care devices, and promote the organization of regular emergency rescue exercises to test and improve competences and practical skills of designated ERT members, to assure a real intervention shall be performed in a correct and timely manner, thus resulting in a reduction of both potential severity and consequences of injuries.

HSE Project Design

We provide a dedicated program management framework to support clients in the development and establishment of harmonized processes and tools for:

assessing safety risks and mapping projects to facilitate front end planning and allocation of required safety resources
performing HSSE qualification of the Contractors and Subcontractors “Beyond Green Banding”
implementing competency assurance programs for job profiles with key roles responsible for the safe delivery of projects.

We support the client in order to define Safety Operating Procedures, aimed to harmonize and standardize projects charts, related to (safety) training plans and competencies assessment, Hazard Management Processes, HSE activities and HSE Management reporting (e.g. Projects HSSE Statistics, leading and lagging KPIs, UA/UC, NMPI) and we flank the client in evaluating the deliverables from HSEB management system.

HSE Project Management

We provide the coordination and monitoring of the HSSE program delivery, consolidating data at a global level, identifying safety trends as well as determining corrective strategies for continuous improvement.

From the execution stage we support our clients in the roll-out and implementation of HSSE programs at site level through dedicated HSSE resources.

Smart Tools Development & Data Analysis

We develop and maintain customized smart tools and web apps to help our clients in consolidating data as well as harmonizing reporting. We work with customer teams by creating integrated databases and systems for managing business metrics and preparing ad-hoc reports to monitor projects, operations, and services.

Arteak conducts site safety assessments at Client locations, monitoring and reporting outcomes consistently with Safety Compliance and Assurance Programs as well as Safety Management System’s audit plans.

Our assessments focus on document based analysis with special consideration of the review of key HSSE documentation (e.g. Safety Work Procedures, PTW System, Project HSSE Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements, etc.), as well as site visits, to check in the field the actual implementation of procedures in force.

In relation to our competency assessment program, specific analysis are conducted to identify gaps and recommended actions to be taken at both the local and global level; indeed Arteak can support the client in identifying common areas of concerns that can define the content and method of rolling out HSE campaigns and initiatives that can be implemented at Corporate level and cascaded locally.

Adequate management of supply chain is crucial for achieving sustainability objectives and continuous improvement of projects and operations.

The Beyond Green-banding service should be regarded as the completion of the supplier qualification process. It includes document-based analysis and in-depth audits in the field ensuring the quality of the Contractors and the effectiveness of their Safety Management Systems, in order to secure the safe delivery of the projects.

Contractors’ Safety Management Systems are analyzed against both the Client’s and industry requirements.

This allows us to identify any gaps in order for bridging documents and procedures to be created and to provide recommendations to develop a robust Project HSE plan. Jointly we then create suitable project KPIs which will highlight any deviances as well as a recommended plan of action for gap.

This might include the review of HSSE Objectives and Targets, the setting of specific leading HSSE KPIs, the review of Standard Operating Procedures and HSSE Plans, the review of PPE and equipment as well as recommendations for additional HSSE Surveillance Overlay, etc.

We develop and supports our Clients in establishing structured HSSE competency assurance systems and programs.

The assessment process involves desktop based analysis, individual interviews and site visits conducted by Arteak personnel, focusing on different topics deemed relevant for the job profile of the candidate (e.g. R&R, Soft-skills, LSR, HSSE Policies, procedures and standards for hazardous activities such as Lifting & Hoisting, WAH, Excavations, Confined Space Entry, etc.).

The ultimate goal is to identify and address any potential gap, identifying an action plan that will include specific retraining contents in order to raise the level of competency of the assessed person.

A sufficiently wide database of competency assessment results also allows Arteak to perform a detailed data analysis to identify common areas for improvement, sorted by job profile, country and/or specific key indicators for the topic assessed.

As a result this improves our client’s in creating highly focused corrective strategies that consistently prove vital in achieving continuous improvement.
