01 HSE consultancy
Discrepancies between the approved work procedures and their actual implementation throughout project execution can be regarded as one of the lead causes for incidents in the workplace. To assist the local HSSE and Project Management teams in consistently transferring safe work practices from paper to the field, Arteak provides site surveillance overlay services, focusing on high-risk activities (e.g. working at height, confined space entry, lifting & hoisting, hot works, energy isolation, heavy equipment and vehicles operations, scaffolding, excavations, underwater construction and maintenance, system testing). We identify and report unsafe acts and conditions, assist in the intervention and implementation of control measures and promote implementation of HSSE Leadership Visit programs, with the aim of enhancing commitment to safety and visibility on the field of the projects’ management and HSSE personnel and of ensuring follow up on items pending for action.

02 PPE Inspections
In order to reduce inspection times and temporary unavailability of PPE, Arteak provides competent and certified personnel directly at the client’s premises for the periodic inspection of fall protection equipment of the most famous brands (Petzl, Camp, Climbing Technology, Kong, etc.). The service includes visual and functional checks of a wide range of fall protection equipment: harnesses, fall arrest and positioning lanyards, ropes, connectors, energy absorbers, descenders, ascenders, guided-type fall arresters, etc.

03 Industrial rope access teams
Industrial rope access systems have been extensively used in different industries and fields such as oil and gas, power and petrochemical, natural environment, built environment, shipping and harbours, confined spaces, renewable energy. Arteak offers a wide range of services which includes inspections, maintenance and repair of civil and industrial buildings, rigging services for complex lifting operations, geotechnical services, civil engineering and construction, non-destructive testing, cleaning and painting. Beyond the competitive advantage in terms of time and costs required to carry out activities in hard-to-reach work areas, the recent Work & Safety Analysis Reports (WASA) distributed by IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) International highlights how operations performed according to the IRATA Code of Practice can reduce the incident frequency rate by 90%, as compared to the benchmarks for the industry. This is why, beyond the minimum legal requirements, we selected the IRATA standards for the qualification of Arteak rope access technicians and for our internal work procedures, so to ensure a safe system of work, recognized and appreciated at international level, is maintained at all time.

04 INDUSTRIAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE
In remote locations and complex industrial environments, potential emergency situations require intervention skills that exceed those normally reserved for the site emergency response team and public emergency services, thus compromising promptness of intervention as well as overall effectiveness of the emergency plan. Arteak provide fully equipped emergency rescue teams with extensive experience in industrial rescue services, able to timely and effectively intervene in complex scenarios such as confined spaces where the injured person is exposed to life-threatening atmospheric conditions, as well as where high angle rope rescue techniques are required for completing the intervention, e.g. wind turbines, pipe racks, tanks and towers. Arteak ERT technicians are qualified up to internationally recognized standards covering all key areas of expertise which are required for industrial emergency response. This includes Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Technician, American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, First Aid and AED Provider, International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Provider certifications. Furthermore, all Arteak ERT technicians receive internal training up to BS EN standards and regulations for advanced confined space entry and rescue with self-contained breathing apparatus. 05 Confined space works
In the light of our extensive experience, we also provide subject matter experts for consulting services during work planning stage, for the preparation and review of confined space entry procedures, mapping of confined spaces, specific risk assessments and emergency rescue plans. We prepare specific assessment for each work area, thus facilitating HSE department in preparing risk assessment and communicating applicable control measures to operational staff and contractors which perform confined space entry.

06 HSE training
Arteak offers accredited safety training courses compliant to applicable regulations and standards, delivered by highly qualified instructors with years of experience in training services. According to specific client’s request we design and deliver theoretical and practical training syllabus, covering most relevant HSE topics applicable for the industry. We offer training services both at Arteak training centers and at Client’s premises, supporting where needed also for the design of dedicated practical training areas and the supply of PPE and equipment.
